Quick Change Tools 

To try and increase the functionality of my CNC table I added a tool changer mount to the original tool holder. The problem was that it had to be as compact as possible because in any dimension it went it it would remove useable area of my cnc table. Being that the the tables workable is already quite small 18x22 it was critical that I designed something small. I ended up using the acra swiss camera mound with a locating pin to lock it in the z axis. The plate only reduces the workable area by 1.2 inches in the y axis to it is very compact and economical compared to real solution. It is plenty ridged for the cutting that this machine is capable of and the most important feature is that it is highly repeatable with a dimensional variance of less than .002 when the tools are re installed.

This tool changer allowed me to increase the functionality of the machine with it now being able to drill holes in steel, router would, scribe and mark metal for bending locations and hole call outs.
