Wind Turbine

The inspiration for this project was that my ice house needed 12v charger but I did not want to install a solar panel.

It is made from a modified 3 phase hoverboard wheel that I had and cheap wind blades off of eBay. The reason for using the hoverboard motor was that it is a low rpm brushless motor and that is is designed so that rain and water won't cause the motor to fail. The blades are attach with an a adaptor mount that i designed and 3d printed. So far in testing it has been able to produce over 120W of power and handle winds up to 30 MPH. All together this project cost only 23$ wich is a steal of a deal for a wind turbine.
